Why Made in London Matters
Serena Bute began in a London studio, and a core part of the collection has stayed there ever since. This edit brings together the pieces that are designed and produced in the same city – shirts, trousers, dresses and knitwear made by specialist manufacturers close to our studio, rather than shipped in from further afield.
Producing in London means shorter supply chains, closer oversight of quality at every stage, and a direct line between the person who designs a piece and the person who makes it. It also means we can hold ourselves to the same standard across fabric, fit and finish that the rest of the collection is known for – silk that drapes as it should, wool that holds its shape, satin that catches the light.
The edit spans the full wardrobe – from the Serena Shirt to wool tailoring and satin dresses – each produced with the same considered approach, just closer to home. Best for those who want to understand exactly where their clothes come from, and how they're made.
